Improve Your Battlefield 4 Performance By Disabling Windows CPU Core Parking

When I initially started playing Battlefield 4 on the PC after release, I noticed a very slight but annoying sluggishness on the controls. To correct this issue, I first updated my mouse/keyboard drivers, punk buster, and video card driver. Unfortunately for me, the sluggishness did not go away. That is when I took to Google and decided to search on how to improve PC performance. Coming across information suggesting it has to do with the power saving mode you’re running, upon further investigation, I noticed the same thing kept coming up about CPU Core Parking. CPU Core Parking is how Microsoft Windows 7/8 handle throttling back CPU Core Usage when the system is idle, and doesn’t require maximum performance. This would work fine, except there is a slight delay when you bring an inactive core online, causing the sluggish response.

If you have a multi-core CPU, and would like to unleash the power of all cores, follow the steps provided below.

WARNING: This tweak disables a power saving feature used to help reduce heat generated by the CPU. Your temps inside your case will go up by disabling the CPU Core Parking feature.
